The Myrobalan Clinic is a clinic of holistic herbal medicine based in Cattistock, West Dorset. Herbal medicine is our primary discipline, but treatment programmes generally encompass dietary and lifestyle factors as well as herbal prescriptions. We are also able to refer patients to other local complementary practitioners, where this will be appropriate to their treatment programme. The clinic is run by Lucy Jones, a registered medical herbalist who is trained in both western and Tibetan herbal medicine.
Lucy is committed to providing the best possible treatment to each patient on an individual basis. No two people are identical, so treatment programmes are tailor made to the circumstances of each patient. The traditional medicine offered at the clinic has been used by people successfully for thousands of years, but it is still equally relevant to our lives today. Despite the ancient roots to our herbal tradition, we strongly believe that treatment programmes should accept and work with our current lifestyles. This is why we say that we offer 'ancient wisdom for modern lives'. Having said this, we do expect our patients to take responsibility for their own health and actively participate in our treatment programmes. For more information on this please click here. Appointments are available on Thursdays and Fridays, and at other times by special arrangement. In order to treat a patient, we do always have to see them in person. If you are not local we can suggest good accommodation nearby, and advise on the public transport options.
